Exploring and Experiencing Sound

Music plays a huge role in the life of Gracefield School. We aim to provide enjoyable, first hand experiences for our children in listening to, performing and composing music. From the beginning of their studies, all our children are encouraged to explore, experience and control sounds made by the voice and a variety of instruments. The children are introduced to music in a range of styles and from different times and cultures.

We have a Choir that meets at lunchtime and regularly performs at our end of term concerts and shows. The choir and instrumental groups are encouraged to sing and play at morning assemblies, in front of their contemporaries and their parents.

There is a wide range of extra curricular music tutor sessions available.  We have talented music teachers who offer private lessons in piano, guitar, flute, recorder, violin and voice.
